Existential Gratitude.

Spiritually-centered therapy, touching on the broader realities of living: taking oneself out of their day-to-day and returning home to the perspective of their lives as a whole worth living and being fully-present for.

May we understand that we will never happen again, that everyday our bodies shift, everyday will be the last day we look exactly like this. May we live like our bodies are rivers; where we wake up will never be where we go to sleep that night.

May we be otherworldly brave. May we be the kind of courageous that legends are made of, the kind that’s willing to be naked, de-shelled, un-armed, and bare. In order to be the most open and real– what taking off our clothes can only symbolize.

May we want to be joyful more than right; whatever “right” means. May we understand that “right” is too expensive, is too high a price to pay; “right” is never worth joy’s sacrifice.

May we know, as in grasp, as in experience directly in the body, from the very bones of us, that life is short. So returning to love isn’t an ideal, or a New Year’s resolution, or what happens on a Sunday, or once we’ve been wrung out by arguing, exhausted by stress and pain. May we know returning to love doesn’t have to be via exhaustion, the surrender to love doesn’t have to come second hand.

May we desire returning to love as an everyday priority, a physical necessity, like drinking water, or breathing.
